According to photographer Anne Geddes, “Any man can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a dad.” Call him your lifeline. Call him your strength. He is the one to turn to for advice, comfort, and encouragement. He is also the one you call when traveling, and you find yourself in a tight spot. Perhaps there’s a problem at the concierge desk, or while going through a security checkpoint at the airport. Who needs Siri? Who needs GPS? You have the Travel Daddy.
I developed the concept of The Travel Daddy a couple years ago, and have been more or less beta testing it through networking and word of mouth. The immediate reaction was not so different than the look upon a child’s face when daddy shows up unexpectedly. Once I described the concept as a platform where one can turn for advice, recommendations, information, and even a “dad joke,” there was sincere interest and excitement.
As for me, I am a college writing professor, as well as a poet and fiction writer. My poetry has appeared in online and print journals as well as in anthologies. I have completed an historical fiction novel and currently seek a literary agent. In travel writing, my articles have appeared in Forbes, Global Traveler, NY Post, Business Traveler, Business Travel Executive, NY Lifestyles, Travel Zoo, Smart Meetings Magazine, Travel Squire, travelticketmagazine.com and allegramagazine.com.

The true magic of a great drink lies in its ability to transform an ordinary moment into an occasion. Whether it is the crisp pop of a chilled bottle of wine, the methodical shake of a masterfully crafted cocktail, or the comforting steam of a perfectly brewed artisanal beverage, the experience of going out is a sensory celebration. It is about the clink of glassware, the vibrant atmosphere of a curated space, and the artistry of mixologists and sommeliers who pour their passion into every glass. Beyond the liquid itself, it is the shared stories and the lingering finish of a drink well-poured that make every visit a toast to good company.
